All Booked UP

This book group is in partnership with Upper Michigan Today and TV6. Each month we will read a book and then discuss it on the air  with Upper Michigan Today’s Elizabeth Peterson and Tia Trudgeon. The group will then meet for an in-person book group at the Courtyards (1110 Champion Street) for discussion.

Watch Upper Michigan Today at 9:00am on TV6 and join us for discussion in-person at 11:30 am on the third Wednesday of the month. We will meet at the Courtyards (1110 Champion Street).

Quick Fics

“So many books, so little time.” Does that phrase ring true for you? What if the books were little? Quick Fics is a book group for those who enjoy a great story in a small package. We meet once a month to discuss novellas, most of which are less than 200 pages long.

Topics and genres will follow the monthly themes of the PWPL fiction display, so be ready for variety!

Meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. on the third Monday of every month. Join us for some lively discussion and good company in the Dandelion Cottage room.

Tasty Reads

A book group for readers, who love to cook.

Each month we will discuss a book, and share our cooking adventures inspired by the month’s book. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to come with food to share. The Library provides table service and beverages. (Participants are encouraged to bring their own eating utensils so that we aren’t generating as much waste from single use plastics.)

Meetings are scheduled for noon on the second Tuesday of the month. We meet in the George Shiras III Room on the top floor of the Library.
