Call for Donations for Upcoming Sale

The Friends of the Peter White Public Library are now accepting donations for the upcoming Fall Used Book & Media Sale, happening Thursday through Saturday, September 25–27. Your gently used books and media can help support library programs and services!

Donation Drop-Off

Up to two bags of donations per day may be dropped off at the PWPL Circulation Desk during library hours. Please do not put book donations in the book drops. Please call volunteer David White at (906) 263-0201 if you have more than two bags of donations to arrange delivery.

We gratefully accept:

  • Books (hardcover or paperback) in good condition

  • Commercially produced CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays

  • Audiobooks

  • Framed art prints

  • Rare or local-interest books

We cannot accept:

  • Non-commercially produced media

  • Magazines or encyclopedia sets more than 3 years old

  • Reader’s Digest condensed books

  • Travel guides, textbooks, health, or technical books over 5 years old

  • Computer software or equipment

  • Materials that are damaged, stained, moldy, or have a strong odor

  • Outdated formats like VHS or cassette tapes

The Peter White Public Library reserves the right to refuse any donation.
