INTERLIBRARY LOAN
Interlibrary Loan gives you access to materials not owned by Peter White Public Library. There are three different modes of borrowing from other libraries with which we share materials:
- Patron Initiated Interloans (PII’s) are interlibrary loan items that are requested from libraries located at other northern Michigan libraries. PII’s can be placed from our online catalog. Choose “Resource Sharing Libraries” from the first drop-down menu in the black menu bar to search for items available.
- MeLCat is the inter-loan program that finds books from other libraries anywhere within the State of Michigan. MelCat is a free service operated through the Library of Michigan.
- WorldCat, allows PWPL cardholders access to harder to find print materials. Librarians can search nationwide for titles not available through the first two modes. You will need to contact the reference desk for help using this service.
To request an item from another library, contact the Reference Desk: 906-226-4311, refdesk@pwpl.info.
