LIBRARY BOARDS
The Peter White Library is served by four different boards that help govern or design programming for the library. Each board is comprised of members of our community who are interested in a higher level of involvement in the library.
Library Board of Trustees: Our governing board meets monthly. Members are residents of Marquette city and may serve a maximum of two five-year terms. Meetings are open to the public. Contact the Administration Office at (906) 226-4300 if you are interested in serving on the Board of Trustees.
Township Advisory Council: Members are residents of the townships in our service area and help determine how best to meet the needs of patrons who live in those townships. Meetings are held four times a year and are open to the public. Contact the Administration Office at (906) 226-4300 if you are interested in serving on the Township Advisory Council.
Teen Advisory Board (TAB): Meetings are open to all high school students who are interested in meeting regularly with their peers to plan events for teens. TAB members helped design the Teen Area on the main floor and often gain service credit by helping with other youth programming. Call Teen Services for more information at (906) 226 – 4321.
Junior Teen Advisory Board (JTAB): Meetings are open to all junior high school students who are interested in meeting regularly with their peers to have fun and plan events. Call Teen Services for more information at (906) 226-4321.
