Do you have a PWPL Library Account?
If yes, please do not sign up for another account. If you’ve lost your card, come by the circulation desk to get a replacement card for $2.
Do you live in the City of Marquette or one of the following townships: Chocolay, Ewing, Marquette, Skandia, Sands, Turin, Wells, and West Branch?
If yes, your taxes pay for your library card account (thank you!).
You can come by the circulation desk to sign up for a card. Please bring a photo ID and proof of physical address. Check out our Library Card Policy for complete requirements.
Do you live outside the above-listed service areas?
You will need to pay a fee for a non-resident PWPL library card. Full details and fee schedules can be found in our Library Card Policy. Non-resident cards can be obtained at the circulation desk on the main floor.
NMU students:
NMU students living on campus qualify for full-access library cards as City of Marquette residents. If you are an NMU student living off-campus and not in the PWPL service areas, you are eligible for an NMU Basic Access Card. The NMU Basic Access Card allows students to utilize private study rooms, e-resources, and borrow up to 2 items at a time. Register for an NMU Basic Access Card at the circulation desk – be sure to bring your NMU ID, and something with your current address on it.

Book Return
PWPL Book Drops are available in the following locations:
- PWPL parking lot
- PWPL foyer, (right side upon entry)
- Chocolay Township Hall (outside, near the main entrance)
- Sands Township Hall (outside, across from the building)
- Skandia Township Hall (outside, near the main entrance)
- West Branch Township Hall (inside the lobby)
- Westwood Mall in Marquette Township (outside, near the main entrance)
Pickups occur weekly on Wednesdays. Book drop returns are backdated ten days when they are checked in.
Online Bill Pay
- Click on My Account.
- Enter you library card number (no spaces) and your PIN number in the boxes.
- Click the Fines tab (note: you must have fines in order for this option to appear).
- Make sure all bills you want to pay have a checked box next to them.
- Click the PayPal button.
- Follow the prompts to pay via PayPal.
