Summer Reading Begins in 10 Days!

The excitement is building as we count down to the Summer Reading Program! In just 10 days, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Peter White Public Library invites you to “Color Our World” Summer Reading Program for all ages!

Registration Opens:
Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 9:30 AM (online) for Youth & Teen programs

  • Kids Read! : Youth birth – 14 years REGISTER HERE
    • After registering, stop by Youth Services for your reading log.
  • Teens Read! : Youth in 6th -12 grade REGISTER HERE
    • After registering, stop by the Teen Zone OR Youth Services for your reading log.
  • Adults 
    • No registration is required! 

Youth Summer Reading Details:

  • Summer Reading 2025: Color Our World Kickoff will take place Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Youth Services. Kickoff will feature a special performance from comedian and magician Cameron Zvara from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. in the Community Room.

    This event is free to attend and open to all.

  • After the show there will be drop-in mask making and scratch art mandalas in the Great Room and Maker Space.
  • Summer Reading Registration will open that day at 9:30am, online or at the Youth Service desk. Come in-person to pick up your reading log after registering. Kids ages 0-14 will read 10 different days between book fairs to earn up to 3 free books throughout the summer. Youth interested in competing to be on the PWPL Reader Hall of Fame can track their minutes read and submit the final count to Youth Service Desk by August 2, 2025!

Teen Reads!

  • Reading Logs: Pick up your reading logs at the Teen Zone or Youth Service Desk
  • Turn in Reading Logs at Teen Zone for a chance to win gift cards from local businesses! Summit Reading Logs before August 2, 2025.
  • Register for special Summer Reading Events!

Join us in celebrating the joy of reading with activities and programs designed for everyone. Whether you’re a kid, a teen, or an adult, there’s something for you at the Peter White Public Library this summer.
