Sol Azteca Mexican Restaurant presented a $1,500 check to the Peter White Public Library today, during a brief ceremony. The funds will support Children’s Programming needs at the library.

According to Sol Azteca General Manager Aurora Cardoso, “We are delighted to be able to help support our area children. The library has suffered some budget cuts recently and we wanted to do our part to help maintain a high level of Children’s Programming services and materials. We would not have been able to do it without the support of our community.”
Cardoso and her staff, in November, held another Sol Azteca ‘Sunny Sundays’ campaign. A portion of all Sunday sales for that month, were dedicated for Children’s Programming at the Peter White Public Library.

“The staff is very supportive of the program and ‘Sunny Sundays’ have been so well received by the community we’re going to do one every month for the first quarter of 2017”, said Cardoso.

Peter White Public Library Development Director Heather Steltenpohl said the gift to Children’s Programming will help purchase new materials and support children’s activities at the library. “The Dark Stores issue has caused some problems for the library and many other tax-funded programs. We are very grateful for the effort made by Sol Azteca to help us keep our children’s programming vibrant and up to date,” said Steltenpohl.

Thank you Sol Azteca!
