Summer reading at PWPL is a free, and fun, way to keep your children birth – 18 engaged with books and literacy throughout the summer.

2026 Summer Reading has officially ended! Great job on all your reading! If anyone missed the final book fair held July 31/August 1, they can stop by the Kids Room during open hours anytime through Labor Day with their reading logs to pick up any books they missed.
Birth-age 14 register for Kids Read!
Kids Read! is the reading program for children birth -14. Register your child(ren) online, then stop by the library to pick up your reading logs! Children are asked to read, be read to, or listen to audiobooks a minimum of 10 different days between each book fair. At the book fairs they will get to choose a free book to keep – up to 3 over the course of the summer!
On the flyer below, you'll find a variety of fun and engaging programs for youth and families to enjoy, ranging from interactive activities to creative crafts and games. There's something for everyone to look forward to in this year's summer reading!
Students in 6th & 7th grade must choose either Kids Read! or Teens Read.

2026 Summer Reading has officially ended! Great job on all your reading! Reading logs are due by Saturday, August 15. Reading logs can be turned in to the box located on the Teen Services desk. Gifts card can be picked up beginning Tuesday, August 18.
Students 6th grade-12th grade register for Teens Read!.
Teen Read! A reading program for students entering grades 6 - 12. Students can register for Teen Read! online and earn gift cards (2 gift cards max) to participating local businesses by completing and turning in their reading logs.
