March 3, 2025
The wait is over—the NEA Big Read kicks off tonight, March 3rd, at 6:30 pm in the Community Room with John Smolens and Teal Lake Drum Cirle! Before the event begins, patrons can pick up a free copy of Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast at the Circulation Desk, courtesy of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Friends of PWPL.
This month, join one of our creative writing workshops led by talented local authors Marty Achatz, B.G. Bradley, and Lynn Domina. Don’t forget to submit your work to the NEA Big Read blog at pwplneabigread.blogspot.com!
You can also contribute to “The People We Call Home” exhibit by submitting an image. Submissions will be displayed in the Lower Level Reception Area throughout March. As you attend NEA Big Read events, stop by the gallery and watch this community project grow!
Find a full list of NEA Big Read events on our Special Events Page. Plan your experience today and make the most of this exciting month of programming!
