Free to Read Scavenger Hunt

Posted on

Monday through Friday of Free to Read Week (October 6, 2025 – October 10, 2025) receive three clues that will lead you on a journey through the library to reveal the day’s Magic Number.

Collect all five Magic Numbers and unlock the Free to Read Treasure Chest near the Circulation Desk to claim your prize and be entered to win one of the Grand Prizes—gift certificates to Snowbound and Bromley’s Books! Each day’s first clue will be posted on the PWPL website and in the library.

Time to get your Miss Marple hats on!

Monday’s clue: Looking for the first clue, it’s one TYPE of machine used to WRITE your story.

Check back daily for the new starting clue!
Once you collect all 5 numbers, come back to the treasure chest on Friday (Oct. 10, 2025).
Anyone who opens the chest will be entered to win a gift card to a local bookstore and a prize!
Please do not move any clues.
