Peter White Public Library proudly presents the Community Conversation program, generously sponsored by Meredith & Robert Kulishek. Launched at the height of the 2020 pandemic, this initiative has evolved to focus on educating the community for its collective advancement. Now, the program is dedicated to fostering learning and growth within our community.
The Great Lakes Poetry Festival (GLPF) is an annual celebration of literary arts held each April at the Peter White Public Library for National Poetry Month.
The festival features a vibrant lineup of poetry readings, musical concerts, performances by local musicians, movie screenings, poetry workshops, and contests. Notable past participants include former Pulitzer Prize winner Diane Suess, accomplished poet Diane Glancy, Wisconsin Poet Laureate Kimberly Blaeser, and Michigan Notable Book author Jeff Kass.
As we plan for 2026, GLPF continues to highlight diverse poetic voices and foster community engagement. Explore past readings and performances on our Recorded Programs page to relive the magic of GLPF.
