Sunshower’s Still Wild: Poems from the Bear Shack contains meditations from the poet, who, at the age of 60, moved to a remote hunting camp trailer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to start a new adventure. Hilden’s The ABCs of Infatuation showcases what readers have come to expect from his work: crisp poetry, wry observation, and trademark wit.

In partnership with NMU’s Visiting Writers program, Marquette Poets Circle hosts author Melissa Faliveno, former senior editor of Poets & Writers Magazine. Faliveno’s essay collection Tomboyland was named a best book of 2020 by NPR and Oprah Magazine, and their debut novel, Hemlock, was released in January 2026.
