Michigan Great Read: Curtis Chin Part 1

Posted on in Author Reading, Presentation

Live from PWPL Community Room Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Former WLUC TV 6 personality Elizabeth Peterson sits down for a moderated conversation with Curtis Chin. His book is a deeply personal and socially relevant narrative about self-discovery, activism, and the power of storytelling. This event is part of Michigan Humanities’ Great Michigan Read author tour and the By the People program, Let’s Dish: Sharing Culture, Stories & Connection. By the People: Conversations Beyond 250 is a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners. The initiative was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
