Winter Reading 2026!

Our annual Youth Winter Reading program is back!

The program will run January 17 - February 28, 2026, and is available for youth up to Grade 12. 

The Kids Read! STICK with Reading is all about stickers! Winter reading is a fantastic way to keep children engaged and excited about reading, and this years children will get to choose from progressively more awesome stickers the more reading sheets they turn in! Winter Reading is free of charge and open to all youth. 

The Kids Winter Reading: STICK with Reading is open to all youth up to age 14.

Kids Read! Winter Reading kickoff event, January 17, 2026, drop-in 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. to:

  • Register for Winter Reading - kids will get their first reading sheet, their first sticker and their sticker collecting container
  • Read your way as a family through our cozy reading nooks
  • Earn an extra sticker prize via a Kickoff Bingo card
  • Enjoy cocoa and cookies (available only from 11am-1pm)
  • And more!

The Teens Read! Winter Reading Program will offer teens in grades 6-12 the opportunity to win 1 of 2 $50 gift cards to either Snowbound Books or Blossom Bird Bubble Tea by turning in reading logs during Winter Reading!

  • The program is for youth in grades 6-12.
  • After registering online, come to the library during our open hours so your student can pick up their reading log.
  • Students have until February 28 to read (or listen) and turn in as many reading logs as they can. For each log turned in, receive your next reading log and if Amanda is at her desk earn a bonus prize from the prize machine.

Kids in 6th & 7th grade have the option of participating in either Kids Read! or Teens Read! Registration for both programs begins January 17, 2026, find the registration link here.
