Unearth a Story this summer with Peter White Public Library’s summer reading program!
Summer reading takes place June 6 – August 1, 2026. Patrons can join any time before August 1. PWPL has summer reading challenges for all ages. Learn more below:
Youth Summer Reading Challenge
Kids can read to earn up to 3 free books at 3 book fairs throughout the summer. For ages birth-14. Register online, then stop by Youth Services desk to pick up reading log. Ages 13 & 14 must choose either Kids Read or Teens Read, not both. Library card NOT required to participate.
Registration opens on Saturday, June 6.

Teen Summer Reading Challenge
Teens can read for 20 hours and can earn up to $20 in local gift cards. For students entering 6-12 grade. Register online, then stop by Teen Zone to pick up a reading log. Ages 13 & 14 must choose either Kids Read or Teens Read, not both. Library card NOT required to participate.
Registration opens on Saturday, June 6.

Adult Summer Reading Challenge
Adults who read up to 10 books, can fill out up to 10 bookmarks to be entered into winning a prize at the end of summer reading. For ages 18 and older. Bookmarks can be picked up at the Reference or Circulation desk. Names will be drawn the week after August 1. Library card NOT required to participate.
Bookmarks can be picked up starting on Saturday, June 6.
